The "blocked senders" option is currently not operational in OWA. You can achieve the same results by using Inbox Rules. Inbox Rules only apply to new
incoming messages.
Create a rule with specific message information preinserted:
- In mail view, select a message then click on the "more actions" icon (
)
- Choose create rule.
- Name the rule and choose the appropriate option under Do the following. To replicate the function of a Blocked senders list select Move the message to folder and set the Folder as Junk E-Mail. Click OK.
- Click save.
- From the main OWA page click the Settings icon (
) and choose Options
- Click Inbox Rules on the left.
- Click the + sign.
- Give the rule a name, then in the first drop-down box When the message arrives, and: select It includes these words in the senders address.
- A new window will open allowing you to specify the words you want to block. You can enter a whole domain if you want, or several phrases. Click OK.
- In the second dropdown box Do the Following select options as appropriate. To replicate the function of a Blocked senders list select Move the message to folder and set the Folder as Junk E-Mail.
- You can click More options for things like adding more actions or exceptions.
- Click Save.
